“ My husband and I recently discovered this cute local pizzeria not far from us, in Berwyn. They have unique tasty pizzas, friendly welcoming staff, casual relaxed atmosphere, and decent background music! :) We've been twice now, in just over a month. Both times, the nice friendly owner came out to chat to us and brought us a complimentary bruschetta appetizer. :) This time, we shared the "star burst" salad. (Romaine lettuce & spinach, strawberries, red onion, candied walnuts, orange segments.) This was great - very fresh ingredients, and served with nice hot garlic bread. Last time we went with our kids, we shared the Garlic Parm Fries appetizer. (Fries tossed in garlic parmesan sauce.) We absolutely devoured these - they were so hot, fresh and tasty! Also last time, we had the "Romano" pizza: (fresh mozzarella, tomato, basil, fresh garlic, light pizza sauce, topped with EVOO and a fresh tomato mix) and "The Carbone" pizza: (meatballs, roasted red pepper, ricotta cheese crumbles and mozzarella). "The Carbonne" was quite unique. Both were very yummy. This time, we had the "Kansas City" pizza: (grilled chicken, tangy sweet BBQ sauce, bacon, red onion, cheddar, and mozzarella.). This is exceptionally yummy! All their pizzas come in two different choices of crust - Tavern (thinner) or Torino (thicker). We got a mixture of both styles, so we could compare... Personally, I love the Torino Style, slightly thicker crust. It's not deep dish, but it's a lovely thick crust that has a great taste. (Reminds me of Paisan's pizza). Those who prefer thinner crusts will enjoy the Tavern Style. The owner tells us they are looking forward to opening up a patio seating area in the spring/summer. We look forward to going back! :) ”

“ Allow me to weave you a tale of an experience filled with great food and impeccable forgiveness. Tonight we came here to eat and the cuisine was wonderful. They even let us try a new appetizer “on the house”. The hospitality didn’t stop there though. Between regular check ins and fantastic customer service, they couldn't be beat. One story of note….my son accidentally broke one of their chairs and he was so embarrassed. The manager was so forgiving and gracious about the whole thing. We apologized and offered to pay for the chair but he quickly forgave and understood it was a mistake. The hospitality was great. ”

“ Loved staying in the Berwyn community! Last night there we had dinner at Carbone. Glad we did! Complimentary Bruschetta!! Come on!! I started with the Chargrilled Wings. They were perfect! Nice char! Sauce was sticky. Perfectly cooked! Almost like I was at back yard BBQ with my fam! Me and my wife both ordered pizzas. We chose the Tavern Crust. I had Pepperoni and Pineapple She did a custom deal with tomato, onion and mushrooms with red sauce. Ingredients were fresh and the crust had a nice crunch to it. Great atmosphere!! Very chill. Great service! Loved everything about it! ”

“ This place is my new addiction .Love the Alfredo fettuccine pasta w chicken . The chicken is cooked & season so well . The sauce you can tell is home made . You get a good amount of pasta included w garlic bread & salad . My mom & bf are not huge fan of bbq pizza but they loved it , You may think it sounds a bit iffy but it hits w so many flavors . I can’t wait to try the meatball sub next !!! ”

“ Tried the recently opened Carbone Pizzeria Americano on Windsor at Home Ave in the Depot district. The Bruschetta tasted of fresh basil, tomatoes, and onions, the Steak Sandwich was tender and savory, and the South Side (a giant meatball sandwich with marinara and provolone) is an instant classic. Go see our new friend Lila in their dining room. Update 3/6/25: We are well acquainted with Carbone's pizza. Tonight, we tried the other side of the menu and got sandwiches. We started with the Roasted Meatballs served with whipped ricotta cheese. Dave could not stop talking about the whipped ricotta. He wanted to put it on everything! I had the Texas Hold'Em sandwich; crunchy chicken tenders with BBQ sauce, bacon and melted cheddar on hearty Italian bread (I told them to skip the jalapeños as my stomach can not take the spice). Dave had the Oreganata a sautéed chicken breast with Italian seasoning and olive oil also on hearty Italian bread. UPDATE: we returned a month late with a group for pizza. We started with "Pedro Wings" (Buffalo sauce and garlic parmesan mixed); the combination was excellent and a highlight of the meal. Since there was a group of us, we split the Starburst salad (clementine, strawberries, candied walnuts, onions, and mixed greens). It was great to add some veggies to our meal, and finally, the super-thin crust tavern-style pizza was crispy and flavourful. I'm definitely going to come back! ”
